A memory from Victoria TheatrePosted by chrissyA on 22 October 2006 at 20:36 I bought tickets and didn't tell (daughter) Charlotte (aka Lotte) (14). "Let's go into town shopping", I said. Town was dead (Bank Holiday) wandered around and up to the Vic. I said, "Oh, Embrace are playing here today". Two girls were standing outside the doors (2 o'clockish). Wandered off again, then showed Lotte the tickets. Jumping up and down laughing! Ran back to join the two girls. Stayed there all afternoon while people kept walking past then going off again. Kept in touch with Sarah and she came to Manchester Apollo with us. Fantastic day/night. I'm sure people thought we were mentalists (but need to get to front as Charlotte is ickle). Magnificent! PLEASE PLAY HERE AGAIN.
A memory from Victoria TheatrePosted by Wayne on 12 September 2006 at 00:25 As the others have said, this was amazing not only for the performance that the band turned-in (Danny was particularly good at this gig after his recent worries about his voice - all such worries vanished at Halifax)! It had the energy of those late-night school-discos that we all remember so fondly, it was ELECTRIC. Everyone, and I mean *EVERYONE* was smilling like they were on laughing gas, it was insane! I've got one photo of a pair of lads that I don't know, it sums it up for me, as even though I took it more than half-way through the set, they're bouncing around, wide-eyed, mouths-open, shocked and ecstatic about what they were part-of. They made my night.
