What and when was your first messageboard post?

Well....back in the days when the site was green/blue (around the time of IYNB) I asked Nick if he was the same Nick that had said "schizophrenically ecclectic" - he said yes to his "eternal shame". Then, when the Embrace site, now red, had decided that the only important aspects to a band's site are "mailing list" and "messageboard" my brother and I posted some messages which always managed to include Nick's name. Nayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

Who was the first messageboarder you met?

Excluding my brother (Wootoo), who had the pleasure of watching a star in the making0 being born, the first messageboarder I met was Nick Southall, Devon's first punk rocker on the tabla.

What is the most stupid thing you've done at a gig?

Play the harmonica. The dude in front thought I was crazy. Unfortunately, my playing couldn't be heard, as Danny had a microphone and I didnay.

What other music do you like?

I like great players, singers, songwriters, arrangers and producers.

What are your favourite albums?

The Beatles - Abbey Road
Miles Davis - Kind Of Blue
The Smiths - The Queen Is Dead
Led Zeppelin - Led Zeppelin

Ray Charles - Genius + Soul = Jazz
Public Enemy - It Takes A Nation...
Congos - Heart of The Congos

What are you currently listening to?

The Band, Hendrix, Miles Davis, Herbie Hancock, Tim Buckley, Public Enemy, Randy Newman, Talk Talk, The Stones, Marlena Shaw, Funkadelic, Blind Boys Of Alabama, The Soggy Bottom Boys

What is your favourite Jelly Baby?

The black ones

Who is your favourite Neighbours character?

an alternative to Neighnours is stabbing yourself in the ears with Nick Southall's pencil until you can´t hear anymore. then you have to talk in sign language.

Most likely to say…

Bosoms

Least likely to say…

"tidy attire is important in repelling Nick Southall's manoeuvres to infiltrate corrupt capitalist ideas and lifestyle and establishing the socialist lifestyle of the military-first era"

Cricket - good or evil?

perfectly pleasant. one of the few major sports that is unpredictable. Of course it is. I don't know what's gonna happen in a match that lasts four days.

What was the last thing you ate?

Rice and chicken

Cats or dogs?

dogs. Because you can walk them, and it's an excuse for music-listening and general thinking. Innit.

Heaven is…

Northern Sky by Nick Drake - it's just heavenly. Nice ladies too.

Hell is…

sometimes I see Hell as horrible clubs in London. Other times I see Hell as a grievous angel sound system - Cliff Richard tribute mix - the bit mixing Lionel Richie style chanting, crazy nyabingi percussion, someone doodling something like albatross and BREAKING into the jungle section that consequently wakes Nick up in a most bizarre fashion having had two hours sleep twelve years running. Then Nick dances in his swivel chair (with someone playing the entire Usher album back catalogue - including remixes - to accompany her working day very loud.

Madness Rating (1 to 10)

nay

An interesting fact about myself…

I have six toes, and I played rhythm guitar on Wilco's Jesus etc.
